Places Kids will Love to Eat

Finding food on the Strip really isn't a difficult task.  Each mega casino property has readily available shopping and restaurants featuring practically every kind of cuisine.  The intent of this page is to highlight some of the better known "Theme" based dining attractions.  Expect to pay $6 to $10 per person for lunch and $10 to $20 per person for dinner.  Buffet choices are listed at the bottom of the page.
Rainforest Cafe MGM Grand Hotel and Casino
“A Wild Place to Shop and Eat”, the two story, 500-seat restaurant boasts an animated gorilla family and other creatures indigenous to the rain forest. The inventively themed restaurant/retail complex features cool mists rising from cascading waterfalls. A 10,000 gallon double archway saltwater aquarium featuring more than 22 species of fish from around the world, trumpeting animatronic elephants and simulated tropical rainstorms – complete with thunder and lighting – are all placed in lush vegetation. All menu selections are cleverly named – examples are "Rumble in the Jungle Turkey Pita", "The Primal Steak" and "Gorillas in the Mist Cheesecake". Selections include pastas, salads, signature sandwiches, and delectable desserts. Average check  $12-$15
MGM Grand Buffet MGM Grand Hotel and Casino
We list this entry due to it's proximity to the adventures theme park.  An elegant atmosphere reminiscent of the golden age of Hollywood, where the vast brunch and dinner menu changes every day, providing guest with eight different all-you-can-eat entrees. During brunch, the Buffet features ham and turkey carving stations; the dinner menu is expanded to prime rib. Chilled shrimp and crab legs are always available for dinner. Buffet offerings include an extensive salad bar and a selection of truly tempting desserts – cakes, pies, tarts, sundaes, nonfat frozen yogurt and sugar-free treats  Breakfast: 7am – 11:00am, Lunch 11:00am - 2:30pm, Dinner 4:30pm - 10pm.  Average check $6 to $10 per person (Under 4 no charge).
Sherwood Forest Cafe Excalibur Hotel and Casino

Other Vegas Sites Dining Listings

Cheap Eats is an entertaining guide to cheap dining in Las Vegas written by the folks at "Las Vegas on 25 cents a day".  It's entertaining and practical.  If you enjoy the experiences of others who have eaten there before you then take a peek.  Keep in mind these are mostly reviews of buffets, coffee stops, fast foods.

Las Vegas Advisor's "Top" 10 Values.  Each month this lists their compilation of the best values in dining.  If cheap food is your goal, then this is your list!

Las Vegas Leisure Guide Dining - The most complete list of Buffets in Las Vegas including hours of operation, cost, and telephone numbers.  Not so value minded mood?  Then you may also want to check their restaurant guide for a complete list of restaurants (see their reviews for their opinions on where to eat).

Taste of Vegas - Fantastic site!  While it's not about discount dining it will absolutely help you - especially if you have not been to Vegas before.  Use it to find restaurants that suit your tastes.  Use it to read reviews of restaurants you find listed as "discount" on other sites.  Use it to get addresses, telephone numbers, and reservations information.  In short make it your dining companion.  It's really that good, thus warranting inclusion on this page.  Here's a great idea - visit the links below then come back to this site for more info!

Las Vegas.com's - $10 & Under Restaurants
Las Vegas.com's - $10 to $20 Restaurants
We like this idea and although Las Vegas.com is Leased from the LVRJ and maintained by a Russian company we can't fault this excellent idea.  We like the old site run by the newspaper better, but it's gone.  Click the above links for listings of restaurants by these price ranges.
