Las Vegas can be a great experience for everyone if you know where you are going, and what you will be doing BEFORE your trip. As you probably already know - nothing will ruin a family vacation faster than frustrated children! Little minds and bodies need to be kept busy! We can not overstate the importance of developing your itinerary BEFORE your trip! A well thought out itinerary and setting ground rules with your children early on will result in for a pleasant visit. The honest truth of the matter is Casinos and Hotels are merely doing what is necessary to bring in as many tourists as possible! Simply put - the Resorts don't want to see your vacation dollars going elsewhere. With this in mind we have compiled a list of Activities, Attractions, Hotels, Restaurants, Sightseeing Tours, Swimming Pools, etc. that each parent will want to consider as venues for the children. Please: if your children are under the age of 6 reconsider your visit at a later time. Most attractions are based on "height" - and small children just won't have any fun. Did you know Las Vegas attracts 30 million visitors each year! (Actually 37 million in 2004). More than 30,000 hotel rooms are booked daily! The average daily temperature in July can exceed 105 degrees! This many "strangers", this kind of heat, and the enormity of the buildings can be very overwhelming for little feet! Even more so for mom and dad as they try to comfort the discouraged little ones. Now Imagine your family walking down the strip in this 100 degree heat, constantly solicited by porn vendors and their handouts, intermingled in huge crowds of tourists. It's not really a pretty picture is it? Are you beginning to understand why PREPARATION is the key to fun for the little ones in Las Vegas? Surly mom and dad can duck into a casino to escape the heat, and find plenty of entertainment. In fact we prefer going to Vegas and flying by the seat of our pants. But this approach simply doesn't work for Children. Now lets paint a prettier picture. You arrive in Las Vegas (having planned your itinerary ahead of time). You pick up your rental car at the airport and drive off to your Hotel. You are greeted at the Hotel Desk courtesy and shown your room. After a few moments of "unpacking" you and the family are off to a family restaurant for a meal. Next you visit the Lions Habitat and Theme Park at the MGM Grand. The following day you awaken and set off on your tour of Hoover Damn and Lake Mead. Later in the Afternoon it's off to the swimming Pool. The next day you ride the rollercoaster, enjoy the 3D Shows at the Luxor... etc., etc. It's all about Planning. So lets get started. Thank You for visiting and share us with a friend!
